What is an SAE?

SAE is defined as experiental service and/or work-based learning through the implementation of a supervised agricultural experience program.  There are both foundational and immersion SAEs for students to choose.  Below are definitions for every type of SAE available.

Foundational:

Foundational SAE can be conducted by all students in the agriculture education program. This SAE has five component areas: Career Exploration; Employability Skills and College Readiness; Personal Finance; Workplace Safety; and Ag Literacy.

Entrepreneurship/Ownership:

The student operates a business that provides goods or services. This will show your financial risks and how to run a company efficiently.

Research-- Experimental, Analysis or Invention:

This SAE is about science in agriculture. In this, you will create a scientific experiment about agriculture. This is where you can ask questions and try to innovate new ideas and better knowledge about agriculture.
